Rules of the Coonalpyn Show Society
- Member's fee of $10 shall entitle a member to one member's and one
complimentary ticket and one vehicle pass. Life membership of one
payment of 10 years current membership fee entitles the subscriber to full
privileges of annual $100 subscriber for life.
- Admission to ground - Adults $6, Children 5 to 14 years - $2, Pensioners $3 (on presenting entitlement card)
- Judges are empowered to without prizes in any class when they consider
exhibits unworthy, and may award a second prize in lieu of first.
- Should any exhibit having gained a prize, be disqualified, the next on
the list shall not necessarily take it. The committee shall decide the
issue.
- All exhibits must be the bona fide property of and/or the work of the
exhibitors (except machinery and vehicles), and shall be grown or
manufactured by an exhibitor during the current season.
- Exhibits must not be removed before 4 p.m. without an order from the
secretary to do so, under a penalty of $10, and forfeiture of any prizes
awarded.
- Protest against judges' awards must be given in writing to the secretary
not later than 3 p.m. on day of show. For stationary exhibits,
protests must in all cases be accompanied by a deposit of $50.
- Any person wishing to stand or side show on the Society's ground on the
day of the show shall first apply to and obtain permission for such stand
from the secretary; such permission may not necessarily be grant
- Every possible care will be take of all exhibits but no responsibility
will be incurred by the Society in any way.
- The President, Secretary or Stewards, may, should they desire, demand a
statutory declaration from any person respecting any exhibit at the show, or
as to the bona fide of any exhibit or grower, with respect to articles
exhibited
- Any person using abusive or insulting language at any official on the
showgrounds during the progress of the Show, may be legally dealt with.,
unless a satisfactory apology be tendered in writing to the official
concerned and to the satisfaction of the committee.
- Objects that are deemed to be a nuisance or a public hazard e.g. water
pistol and cap guns, are banned from the showgrounds.
- The Secretary shall within one month of each Show call a meeting of the
Committee to pass all accounts for payment. All prize money not
claimed within two months from the date of Show may be forfeited to the
Society.
- All exhibitors in Section A must be members of the Society.
